"The sun set over the hills of Fiesole, colouring Florence red. I observed the sinuous course of the Arno river, the Ponte alle Grazie, the Ponte Vecchio and the majestic cathedral with its Brunelleschi dome. I took advantage of the soft light of the setting sun, so dear to Leonardo, to visit the Iris Garden, a flower symbol of the city that lies just above the Piazzale Michelangelo, which hosts the mighty statue of David. Through its paths lined with sandstone, studded with olive trees and oaks, I had the impression of entering a world where the art of nature seemed to compete with the art of man. As I walked around, I noticed that the thousands of colourful flowers surrounding me mirrored the city, which was switching on its first evening lights. There was no competition, only harmony. It was a superb vision, which led me to create a scent inspired by the symbolic flower of Florence. Thus was born Iris Muschiato. "
