The triple chime, mechanical cable movement plays the chime of your choice progressively on the 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and full hour with a separate hour count (also referred to as the strike.)

The Automatic night time chime silence feature turns the chime off after 10:00 PM and reactivates the chime at 7:15 AM. This is an optional feature that you control, so you can have your Hermle Grandfather Clock chime all night or be silent at night simply with the flip of a switch.
